English - Essay ExampleThe day which I would cherish for my safe and sound life. The day I was going to make the freshmens toast for my class, at the freshmens dinner, as the deans personal selection out of a class of hundred students. They say happiness is best enjoyed with a loved one. How immature I had been. About happiness and about loved ones. After a hurried breakfast, I had gone to meet my best friend in the entire world. As I saw her face, a memory flashed across my mind. The smell of pure joy on her face when I had told her I had been selected. She, of all people knew the uphill battle I had to face with my parents. She had been with me since we were foetuses. As the only nestling of award winning scientists, academic perfection is not just asked of, it is demanded. The freshmans toast was the highest tribute bestowed on a freshman, and I knew it would finally heighten to my parents that I was worthy enough to be their offspring. Looking back now, I realize the joy had b een blemished by an expression that had appeared on her face for a fleeting second before being lit with delight, an ugly expression, a look of pure jealousy. We had dined to trainher, a celebratory lunch, her treat. I remember feeling a combination of emotions, from butterflies inducing anxiety to spine tingling excitement to incredulity. She calmed me, reassured me, laughed away my doubts and did everything that I needed at the time. By the time we got done, it was time to get ready for the dinner. We spent an enjoyable hour getting ready. I was starting to feel more and more nervous as the time for me to stand up in front of a room full of my peers and their families and deliver an inspirational speech drew nearer. I remember receiving my parents and escorting them to their hotel room a few hours before the dinner. I had kept the part about me being selected to give the freshmans toast a surprise for them. I clearly recall the rational picture

Thinking Styles Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words - 1

Thinking Styles - Essay ExampleCritical thinking dispositions are manifest in current processes understanding, analytical and reasoning processes. Critical reasoning, as defined in plus definition set, is always rational because it uses reasons one way or another. However, although rational, it is not inevitably sound. Critical reasoning can be sound or unsound (Critical Thinking, n.d.). These characteristics can be developed through management practices that foster analysis of the elements of reasoning. As a cognitive process, critical thinking may be defined as a self- deviseive grasping of the structures of thought and subjecting them to (rational, reasonable, logical) standards that facilitate the perception and correction of errors in thinking (Schafersman 1991). In some cases, the role of the leader is to facilitate managers learning not what to think, but how to assess the quality of their own thinking and reasoning in general. Because knowledge is attained only through thin king critically about the reasoning involved in reaching conclusions, managers must be continually asked to reflect on their reasoning and the reasoning manifest in all forms of communication and technical processes. Usually critical thinkers are a mixture. They promote root verities and insightful observations on one hand and, then, turn around, and advocate root errors that undo the good they are trying to promote (Critical Thinking, n.d.).Creative thinking style helps managers to define unique solutions in difficult situations and bring together creative ideas. Creative thinking style and management strengths can be characterized as the source of prospect which lies in know-how decisions. Creative thinking implies new ideas which put into practice through creation (something new), synthesis (combining concepts), or modification (changing things). Also, researchers distinguish critical and creative thinking.

Wallace Stevens Death of Soldier & EE Cummings Sweet Old Etceter Essay

Wallace Stevens Death of Soldier & EE Cummings Sweet Old Etceter - Essay ExampleOn the other hand, Wallace Stevens The Death of a Soldier is sensed through a modernist view in a dimension of realism that treats acceptance of fate as mundane. On claiming Life contracts and death is expected, As in a season of autumn, W. Stevens takes on a perspective that embraces practicality where no point of despair becomes necessary. Time instead serves as an indispensable element in the poem and even death which is said to be absolute and without memorial is subject to the constant changing of season. Unlike with Faulkners narrative which appears to celebrate assured aspects of living through remarkable human traits, Stevens brief work can be felt to assume rigidity, perhaps to drive any huge list of agony over death. As if to deprive the poem of components that lead to sentimentality, Stevens occurs to have been more inclined to render the piece as a detail of fact. By the repetition of simil e with As in a season of autumn, there emerges an attempt to signify the physical rather than the emotional state of temperament with respect to the perspective of a third person in view of war.

John Edward Robinson Sr Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words

John Edward Robinson Sr - Essay ExampleThe Robinsons moved to a bigger house in Missouri. He charmed for the medical practice of Dr. Wallace Graham. In 1969, he was sentenced to 3 days probation after embezzling $33,000 from the medical practice. Robinson had sexually propositions virtually many of his neighbors wives and got into a physical controvert with one of the husbands. On the other hand, he was involved in many rape crimes most of the victims were young girls (Thomas). In 1984 the first prey for Robinson was Paula Godfrey, she was 19 old age old. John hired her to work in his firm. He picked her from her parents home to go to the airport but she never was found after that. From 1987-1993 Robinson was incarcerated, first in Kansas (1987-91) on multiple fraud conviction and other fraud convictions and parole violations. In addition, he was using the internet for sexual activities by using the Slavemaster as a nickname in the social network sites. Suzette was the way to ex pose Robinson by her online friendships from around the world who knew she had gone to Kansas city to be with John Robinson. Her friends were worried almost her because she no longer appeared online. Also he tried to seduce Lore and she is one of Suzettes online friends, who lived in Eastern Canada. Lore tried to drag Robinson to aim her friend Suzette. There were some telephone calls and email between them, in that time the police was tracking all the calls and emails. The police contacted Lore and told her that they were doing probe to the highest degree Robinson and they asked her to continue her relationship with him. Lore wasnt the only target for Robinson. He was meeting women locally and outside the country. Tiffany Lynn Stasi is a child linked to Robinson, who disappeared 15 years ago after her mother crossed paths with Robinson. She was a 4-month old baby when she disappeared. Police was investigating whether Tiffany was living under another name (Canon). Sources who we re knowledgeable of the investigation said She could have been raised by a couple known to Robinson without ever being legally adopted (Jury Backs Execution in Sex Slave Murders). Finally, in Missouri, members of the working class force found that all five women were killed in the same way, by one or two blows to the head. They found these bodies in two garages that Robinson rented. In 2003, Robinson was sentenced to last in Kansan for the murders of Trouten and Lewicka, and life imprisonment for killing Stasi. The article shows that Robinson victims were 8 women and he was a serial killer. In my opinion, John Edward Robinson is one of the famous serial killers. magic spell searching and reading articles about Robinson I found that he is sick of sexual activity or sexual things, even when he got married to Nancy, he was cheating on her and had many girlfriends everywhere around the world. Then he used internet for such purposes. Also he chose such nicknames that tell about his m entality and his indulgence in sex life. In fact, he loves porn and sexual life. That can be the cause of Robinson crimes. He did many criminal things such as, rape, stealing and killing. Each one of these crimes is related to the other one. For example, rape drives you to kill etc. The second reason that drove him to steal was that he was always expelled from his work and he tried to make his own firm but was haunted by debt. These things happened to him when he was not a part of notorious world. Maybe thither is such a devilish force that pushed him to do all these crimes or was mentally ill. In the

Soft processor Research Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2250 words

Soft processor - Research Paper ExampleThis is central because laymen and some scholars often confuse them with each other in terms of their design and functionality. At the end of this paper, I intend to have achieved two of import objectives examine and discuss all aspects of soft center of attention processors, and show a clear distinction (in terms of design and functionality) between soft nub and heavily core processors. Key words Core processors, soft core processors, hard core processors Introduction A soft processor is a patented core that is base on the Field-Programmable door Array (FPGA) logic primitives (Chu 2012, pg. 31). A hard processor, on the other hand, is a patented core that is based developed from devote silicon. In this regard, it is built directly onto non-reconfigurable silicon. A real example of a soft-processor is the Xilinx MicroBlaze processor core. This is a 32-bit processor core that is also a Reduced knowledge Set Computer (RISC). It has the fo llowing features Harvard bus architecture Highly configurable cache Exceptional handling capacity and two levels of interruption A standardized core connect bus interface manufactured by IBM 3-stage pipeline Thirty-two registers for general purpose This processor can operate at up to 250MHz based on a Virtex-4 (4VLX40-12) component. Between 1000 and 2700 Xilinx LUTs (Look-Up tables) are required for the implementation of a MicroBlaze soft processor, depending on the manner in which the processor is configured. Background FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) An FPGA is an integrated circuit (IC) that is capable of being programmed to perform any logical function. FPGAs usually have many gates (sometimes even millions) which can be interlinked in any configuration required to resemble a logic circuit. Such interconnections are performed entirely using software. This is done by uploading a modified hardware definition for a logic circuit) to an FPGA. The FPGA will subsequently assume the attributes of that logic unit. The logic unit is defined using a HDL (hardware definition language). An FPGA is make up of a complex matrix/assembly of logic cells (Yiannacouras 2005, pg. 36). The FPGA is a general-purpose component that is full of digital logic building units. The two controlling firms in the FPGA industry are Xilinx and Altera. The most primitive building block used in FPGA is known as an LE (Logic Element) by Altera or an LC (Logic Cell) by Xilinx. In both cases, the building block is made up of an LUT for logical purposes and a flip-flop for purposes of storage. Apart from the LE/LC block, FPGAs also include clock management, coevals blocks, memory, and input/output (I/O). LE/LC is often used in finding system be. FPGAs offer hardware designers great flexibility. Although pioneer designers primarily employed FPGAs in debugging and prototyping, most commercial end-products now integrate FPGAs. Designers who use FPGAs are able to develop hardware components or entire systems quickly while still balance the debugging and prototyping benefits that FPGAs have over application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) designs (Iniewski 2013, pg. 35). Constant increases in FPGA architectural features, performance, and capacity are allowing more designs to be implemented through FPGAs. To further this, FPGAs costs are declining, enabling designers to integrate FPGAs with 1 million similar gates for less than $13.

Right Relationship Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1500 words

Right Relationship - Essay ExampleCordelia All gived secrets, All you unpublishd virtues of the earth, Spring with my tears be aidant and remediate (Shakespear,121). Evidently, It shows that, Cordelia has her morals so deeply rooted in her that she find no carriage to project her adore and admiration for her father. King Lear on the other hand, is a fun and frolic person, who is more engaged in worldly pleasures than royal obligations. He wants to enjoy the luxurious and richness of his kingly status but ignores the responsibilities and duties coming along with it. Moreover, he proclaimed a test to verify the fatherly love of his daughters which shows that he is more of a displayer of love than a believer. Later due to the evil nature of certain characters in the play, King Lear and Cordelier gets captivated and end up in trouble. LearAsk her forgiveness? Do you but mark how this becomes the houseDear daughter, I confess that I am oldKneeling.Age is unnecessary on my knees I beg That youll vouchsafe me raiment, bed, and food (Shakespear,68).Apparently, the play is portraying an evident transition in the nature of King Lear as he realizes his daughters true dedication and love for him. ... Lear Out of my sight (Shakespeare,8 ). The above conversation shows that, he was a blind in his materialistic world and never could observe the real beauty of love and affection. However, Cordelier was his favorite daughter but he never could understand her real feelings and emotions .The Shakespeare has portrayed Cordelia as a character who is all in all lovable with little or no traces of evil in her. It is when the evil characters of the play attempt to corner the King that he realizes the love and dedication of his sensitive daughter Cordelia. King Lear being blind to the real virtue of nature banishes the two most powerful and loyal characters in the play in an unintentional manner. King Lear banishes his youngest daughter Cordelie for not giving a superfluous spe ech showing her love for him. Shakespeare shows in the act that a person blind to truth can no longer differentiate between good and evil and remains ignorant all his life. Apparently, all what Shakespeare is trying to do is to educate the sight as to the value of virtue and vice. Is King Lear virtuous according to Aristotles concepts? King Lear can never be considered virtuous till the end of the play. He lives a blind life by giving no consideration for truth, morality and ethics. All his effort was in living as a rapturous royal entity by forgetting his duties towards his children and the country.Shakespear in this play is trying to gauge the characters from the point of view of Aristotle. According to Shakespeare, a human nature has only two sides, all goodness or evilness. King Lear indeed fell in to the evil category, even though he developed goodness as to the ending pose
